My laptop is running low on battery so I’m going to type as fast as I can. Could I plug in my charger that’s sitting right next to me? Absolutely, but that would mean I would probably spend four more hours trying to craft an update that ultimately would end up saying that same thing either way – I need to start wearing my retainers more consistently.
Well, now that I’ve said it up front, we can move on.
I’m looking forward to taking a salt bath. I recently scrubbed my tub with Scrubbing Bubbles and a spin brush with the As Seen On TV logo on the box. I ended up not being able to walk without my legs feeling like they were on fire from all the squatting down in the tub with power tool for two days.
I finished the book I was reading on the Buddhist’s Way to Happiness. It felt like the fever finally broke – why I’ve been meditating and spending a few months seeking counsel. The fever was a lot of anxiety and panic. I think this quote sums up what happened.
I dived into reading and drawing more. I co-produced my first comedy show last week. I was afraid doing more would make me feel more out of balance but it seems to be more grounding. It’s less time to let my mind wander. My counselor and I were working on negative mind energies and letting them go instead of sitting at my work desk, filling an order, and worrying about a situation that was either in the past or never happened at all. It’s much more peaceful to keep your mind in the present.
January has been busy. I already feel like I’ve done a year’s worth of activities and it’s only the 20th. I finished reading two books, went to a close family wedding, learned to make chicken cutlets AND saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi in IMAX. Now I’m about to eat freezer burnt ice cream.
As predicted my battery is running out.
